The Gods and the Geek. Chapter 10. Final.

Today was the day. The day that Thor and Loki would leave and you would go with them. So, in all actuality, today was the day you'd leave as well.

Don't act like you don't remember. A few hours after S.H.I.E.L.D had Loki in custody, you made a bet with Thor.

"I bet that Loki will break out within a few days." you told the blonde god at which, he began to chuckle.

"He will not. My brother may be clever, but it is not probable that he will escape." he replied.

"Fine, if I win, you have to take me to Asgard with you and your brother when you leave." you smirked.

"And if I am the victor?" he asked smiling and chuckling every now and then.

"I'll give you the recipe for coffee..."

"It is a deal!" he replies in a thunderous voice as he grabbed your hand and shook it, rather strongly I might add.

A few days later, Loki escaped and had to be captured yet again. So, Thor told you to pack-lightly he said you weren't going to stay for very long- and he would speak to his father about how long you would e staying.

You were extremely excited. More so then you've ever been in your entire lifetime. You were practically skipping everywhere you went, a tuneless hum in your throat, and the biggest smile to ever adorn your face was ever-present as you ate your light breakfast with your soon to be travel guide.

Oh how you were ready to leave this realm behind and go on to the one you've only been able to read and dream about.

It seems you were the only one who saw the glass half full.

Thor was not to excited to go home and tell his father that he brought a Midgardian with him, not was he excited to tell his father that Loki was in custody and ask when the trial would begin. Yeah...these weren't going to be fun activities.

Loki wasn't pleased with the out come either. He knew as soon as he got to Asgard he would be swarmed by the royal guard and taken to a prison cell where he'd rot until his trial was over with and he was found guilty. And only Odin knows what would happen to him after that.

So you were the only one who was happy to go, so you decided to be excited enough for the three of you.

As Thor lightly grabbed your shoulder and held out the Tesseract for his brother to grab onto so that you three could depart, you saw one of the saddest emotions you've ever seen in Loki's eyes. It was almost apologetic and he was looking at his brother with these sadder then ever puppy dog eyes.

Of course, you were the only one who noticed them so if you were to ask Thor if he saw them, he'd act confused and if you ever asked Loki, he'd never admit that he'd be capable of such a thing.

You could see exactly what Loki was thinking in that moment, every word, every image, every emotion that went through his head was visible in his eyes in these very moments. When he looked down at you for a split second you saw mischief but everything else was still the same.

He looked so sorry, but you couldn't see anymore of it because a strange blue light began to engulf you three after Loki grabbed onto the Tesseract in its container.

You couldn't help but be in awe as every color swirled around the three of you, almost as if you were in a hurricane, then all awe was lost when it started to get scary.

Almost as if lightning struck, the colors disappeared and everything became loud and dark, you began moving at unimaginable speeds. You felt like you were about to vomit.

Just when you thought that the torture would never end, it did. You stumbled off of Thor and tried to catch your balance. When you did, you looked upward and saw a golden city in front of you.

"Oh wow..." you mumbled just about ready to pass out.

"Thor, who is this? Why hath thou brought a Midgardian into our presence?" you heard a deep voice ask from somewhere behind you. You knew exactly who it was.

"Hedimdall..." you mumbled.
